I did 20 years to the day (7/13/81 - 7/31/01). My first command was NSU#9. The 52pct was next (6/82- 1/86), where I made the mistake of going to Public Morals (A very good friend helped me get in, to whom although I may not have shown it, I am still very grateful to for going out of her way for me). After a year I was strapped to a rocket and blasted into Central Park as a P.O.where I spent a lovely 2 years, 5 months and 27 days. After my involvement in the Jogger Case, I was assigned to the 23 RIP, a few years later I volunteered for the new 33pct after the riots in the 34, and spent another several years in both squads. I retired from the 32PDU (the closest place to utter despair, and gloom I've ever been to).
